About Courtney g. Jewelry:

Most of my designs showcase Sterling Silver and Gold Filled metals. I like to mix metals, in particular Rose and Sterling, to create a unique look that highlights the elements of the piece. I create jewelry that I love. Clean lines, chain detail, gorgeous gemstones, hammered metal, and life inspiration help me to create my art. All of my pieces are hand formed and hammered by my hands. Due to the handmade element of my items, they are subject to unique differences that further make each piece one of a kind in nature. Stones are all genuine and also vary in appearance.  My items are made-to-order, please allow 7-10 days after purchase for your items to be made and then shipped. Quality and perfection are my top priorities and my mission is to provide you an item that you adore.

What is Gold Filled?

Gold filled jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold pressure bonded to another metal. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. It is a great and high quality alternative to solid gold, but also delicate and the proper care should be taken to ensure its long life. Please read below instructions on how to care for your new Courtney g. Jewelry!

How to care for your Gold Filled Pieces:

Perspiration, excessive humidity, chlorine, sunscreen, cosmetics, hairspray, body oils and other chemicals apart of life may dull the shine & potentially damage your piece if it is not cared for properly afterwards. It is not recommended to wear your gold filled item in pools, hot tubs or in salt water, etc.  Please remove jewelry before taking a plunge, exercising, cleaning, etc!  When you take your item off for the night, go ahead and wipe it gently with the blue cloth that is included in your anti tarnishing black pouch that came with your item.  This blue cloth is perfect for cleaning your item before storing away from light in your black pouch.  It is a great idea to wipe your item every now and then as a way to prevent tarnish that can occur. If you feel as though your item has been exposed to an excessive amount of sweat, lotions, etc, you can rinse it off with mild hand soap and warm water to gently cleanse your piece.  Pat dry immediately and let it air dry out overnight before storing away.  This cleansing should only be done on occasions in which you feel that your piece needs additional TLC.

What is Sterling Silver?

Sterling Silver is an alloy that is almost fully comprised of pure silver. The exact amount of silver content is 92.5%  The remaining 7.5% is almost always copper.  Silver in its purest state can be easily damaged so copper is added to give the additional strength and durability.
